Orion our Winter Guardian

Orion is stretched out across the winter sky to occupy the darkness.  It is a time for reflection of the year, the springs/summer/autumn of travels and the reminder to be surprised by the unexpected, surprised by the observed surroundings,  surprised by our lack of attention to detail.  Orion holds out his arms as if saying - look at it all, remember it all, surround yourself with the life you live.

2011 lastness

The last day of 2011. The light dusting of snow last night and greyness of the morning with myself curled on the couch next to the crackling of the bright fire inspired me to write a blog.  So here is the beginning.
